Although I didn't get that many tips from reading this book, it was still worth it for all the beautiful photos and their interesting details。 This is a 'home inspiration' book, showing places both traditional and modern, historical and with traces of past。 The texts are all in English, German, and French, as is the style with Taschen books。 The places are Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Singapore, Tibet, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia (incl。 Angkor temples), and Malaysia。 At the beginning is a map Although I didn't get that many tips from reading this book, it was still worth it for all the beautiful photos and their interesting details。 This is a 'home inspiration' book, showing places both traditional and modern, historical and with traces of past。 The texts are all in English, German, and French, as is the style with Taschen books。 The places are Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Singapore, Tibet, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia (incl。 Angkor temples), and Malaysia。 At the beginning is a map with each place shown, with page numbers。These places are not quite ordinary, which probably is why they are interesting。 There are religious places (mostly Buddhist, but some Hindu ones too), homes, palaces, ruins, gardens, hotels/resorts/guest houses, certain types of boats, and even one dining club。 Each place gets a short introduction, and each photo a description, in those languages above。 The outsides are shown, but also rooms, and their parts and details。Things found include doorways, knockers, statues/images/altars, roofs, different decorations, gardens, swimming pools, furniture (like chairs, beds, cupboards and cabinets), stairs, a Mao collection, window details, trunks, art, balconies, lamps… you also get some views of the surroundings: mountains, beaches, forest, streetview。This is a good book for traveling with pictures, and the quality of photographs is great。 I loved the variations of materials, light and shade, colors, and patterns。 If you're interested in Buddhist buildings, there's a good selection of them here。 In the end, this book is great for both inspiration and just the beauty of the buildings in these countries, in Asia。 。。。more
